50 Cent Will Shovel Your Snow For $100

Earlier today, 50 Cent (née Curtis James Jackson, III) took some time out of his bizzy creepin’ around with comedienne Chelsea Handler schedule to announce to his legion of Twitter followers that he is making himself available to shovel people’s show for the low, low price of $100 … tho, it’ll cost you a bit [...]

The happily pregs Penélope Cruz was spotted out and about here in SoCal last week doing a bit of last minute shopping. Penélope took her burgeoning Baby Bump to the Ed Hardy store on Melrose Ave. in West Hollywood, CA … erm, I guess there is no accounting for taste.

Despite Penélope‘s OBVS bad taste in shopping habits, I still heart her entirely and cannot WAIT for her to bring forth the fruit of her loins. I love how pleasantly plump she is getting. Pregnancy looks very good on her. I can’t wait ’til she pops!! Wee!!!

Around the holidays, many American families enjoy listening to entertaining holiday music. From classic holiday songs sung by great entertainers like Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole, to more modern holiday hits sung by professionals like Mariah Carrey and Taylor Swift, there are a wide variety of holiday tunes available. Most families tend to simply turn on the radio or pop in a CD when they want to hear holiday tunes, but these days, it's often much better to find good music online. With fast wireless internet access, it's always a breeze to find plenty of holiday music online to listen to. Here are a few of the simple ways your family can use the internet to find great holiday songs.

Ibanez RG370DX Review

You may know Jeffrey Cain from his band Remy Zero, and their contribution of the song "Fair" on the Garden State Soundtrack. Or if you were lucky enough, you may have even caught them opening for Radiohead on the "Bends" tour. You may also have heard the Emmy Nominated theme song to FX's Nip/Tuck... also his. The following is an interview I conducted on 12/6/10 with Jeffrey, a man who is equal parts humble as grateful.

Christina Aguilera Comes Home To Max Liron For Xmas

When last we saw photos of Christina Aguilera, she was celebrating her 30th birthday with her new love interest Matt Rutler as the pair toured Europe together on Xtina‘s Burlesque promo tour. Today we get to see photos of Xtina back home here in SoCal with her son Max Liron as the pair ran around [...]

Yesterday was a gloriously warm, sunny and RAINFREE day here in LA and David and I made the most of it. Since this is the first year we are spending Xmas together (as opposed to with our families on opposite ends of the country), we decided to keep things really quiet for just the two of us. We started out the day with an Xmas Eve brunch of Aussie Cheese Fries from Outback Steakhouse … and the day just got better from there.

After we stuffed our faces with cheesy deliciousness at Outback, we went for a walk together to enjoy the beautiful weather. After we came home to relax for a bit, we made our way to La Boheme Cafe in West Hollywood, CA for a lovely Xmas Eve dinner together. Then we came home to watch a few Xmas specials on TV … naturally, A Charlie Brown Christmas was top on our list. We fell asleep watching White Christmas and, well, that was our night. Altho it sounds like any of our regular nights together, this one was really special … in fact, any night that David and I get to spend together is a special night. I hope your Xmas Eve was just as special for you!! Happy Holidays!!!

Legends Of The 1970s - Slade

The widely successful American folk-rock group Simon & Garfunkel was formed in 1957 by singer-songwriters Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. Although America's mainstream might say otherwise, folk-rock and "cult concerts," as they're sometimes referred to, have an enormous following, as evidenced by bands like Phish and the Grateful Dead. Simon & Garfunkel still won't be certified by many with the credit they're undoubtedly due, but the mainstream music scene has always been that way; and ever since the band's first attempt at music in the late 1950s, the duo has had to settle for sometimes being misrepresented and even...

Despite her reputation as a man of means, Arun Nayar will be getting paid big $$$$ from his soon-to-be ex-wife, Elizabeth Hurley. When the couple wed in 2007, the did not sign a pre-nuptial agreement, so he will get a large chunk of her £13million fortune.

"A pre-nup would have been a deal-breaker for Arun. He has his pride," claims a source.

But some people think he won't get too much!

"He would be very unlikely to get half Miss Hurley’s fortune because her assets were mainly acquired before their marriage," said London divorce lawyer Ayesha Vardag.

Richard Wagner and His Music Dramas

Modern rock music effectively expresses a wide range of emotions. However, this deeply personal form of expression owes much to the traditions of blues singers. Without these icons of emotional music, we would never have developed the edgy, contemporary vocal styles that characterize rock music and other offshoots like punk, heavy metal, hardcore, and indie. Let's examine the influence blues singers have had on contemporary rock vocals.

Magic can have many benefits beyond entertaining people. In fact, many of those benefits can actually be quite surprising. For example, can magic help to make you smarter? When you learn to perform a new task, you do, in fact, build new connections in your brain. In this way, magic is a lot like learning to juggle. It may take some time to master all of the new card tricks or perfecting street magic, but the end result is that you may end up being a little smarter. This is definitely something to keep in mind the next time you visit your local magic shop.

Playing Low Pocket Pairs in NL Texas Hold Em

About three decades ago, we witnessed the Old School era of dancing and music, which involved funky styles and classical routines. And then came the transition, and in the last decade, came the New School era, with its fast beats, aggressive dances, and more subtle styles. From Harlem shake to c-walk, Hip Hop was on the rise, as the major form of dancing in the modern times.

Whether it be piano or guitar, or what have you, everyone has that desire. Basic Guitar Set-Up - Intonate Your Electric Guitar

One of the first mods that anybody makes to their guitar is to change the pickups. This can be for various reasons, it maybe that you bought a cheap lower model guitar, your after a specific tone or you've heard some famous rock god plays a particular brand and you want them. In my opinion most cheap guitars come with cheap Chinese nonsense pickups, that's because they are cheap nonsense crap guitars and don't deserve anything else.

Britney Spears' manager, Larry Rudolph, has high praise for his client's upcoming album, which he announces to Entertainment Weekly could be in on our iPods as soon as "early next year." He admits that most of this years has been spent "getting back to basics" for Brit-Brit (aka being a mommy and a proper-functioning person of society.) But now, she's completely in a "new album cycle" and he says we can expect a very "progessive" sound from our diva in her new music. He promises,“It’ll be a departure from what you’ve heard."

I've always been into metal, it's one of the first genres I started listening to when I was younger and I still listen to it religiously. My progression in a nutshell would have been Hammerfall -> Black Sabbath -> Metallica -> Megadeth -> Trivium -> Children of Bodom -> Dethklok -> August Burns Red -> Whitechapel.

Christian Rock Wedding Songs - How to Find a Good One

How many times have you seen books, articles, even seminars on how to write a good song - which, in itself isn't a bad thing - but as one songwriter aptly remarked, "okay, I've written the song - now what?" Getting a half decent answer to that question has, in my experience, been responsible for more songwriters failing in this industry, than for any other reason. So, what is a songwriter to do once a song is written?

In case you didn't see it, here's a quick recap. You learned about audiating, which means to "hear" the note or phrase in your head an instant before you actually sing it; it helps you to mentally prepare for the note you're about to sing.

Adagio for Strings was a short piece composed by Samuel Barber in 1936 for his string quartet. The beauty and emotions can be heard as well as felt in this song and, in 2004, was named the saddest classical music ever created. More recently Barber's Adagio for Strings has become popular among many DJs and music producers who have covered and sampled the song and has seen great success over the past decade, particularly within Trance music.

Boys Like Girls Albums - The History

One of the most unlikely reunions to ever transpire, the Pixies notoriously rocky on-and-off-stage relationships have nevertheless yielded some inspired live sets in recent years. Having caught several of their initial 'hey, we're back!' shows in 2004, the Pixies live show in 2010 was a more orchestrated beast altogether.

Great news Battlestar Galactica fans, Deadline is reporting that SyFy has ordered a 2-hour pilot for a proposed new prequel spin-off series of the franchise. As you may know, Caprica (the current BG prequel spin-off) is still in its first season (with the hope of a season 2 pickup soon) so the folks at SyFy think it’s a great time to introduce another spin-off series that is set in the 10th year of the Cylon War and is focused around the young Academy graduate William Adama (who is just a kid in Caprica and is the seasoned admiral in Battlestar Galactica). Here are the deets about this new spin-off series:

SyFy is going back to the Battlestar Galactica well. After launching prequel Caprica, which is now airing the second part of its first season while awaiting word on a second-season pickup, the cable network has greenlighted a two-hour pilot for Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome or BGBC how it will probably be known in the Battlestar fan universe. The pilot, about the young years of Ensign William Adama, hails from Battlestar Galactica executive producer David Eick and Universal Cable Prods. and will involve CGI and virtual technology.

I am a huge fan of Battlestar Galactica and was very sad when the series had to end … but, to be honest, I never really got into Caprica. I watched the series pilot movie but it just didn’t win me over and I decided not to watch the series. That being said, I’m very interested in this new proposed spin-off that focuses on the young William Adama. JJ Abrams found great success with his prequel version of Star Trek which focuses on the young crew of the USS Enterprise … I really think that SyFy can enjoy that kind of success with Battlestar. After the jump, read the official announcement from SyFy about Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome

Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome takes place in the 10th year of the first Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, a sentient robotic race, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, a brash rookie viper pilot enters the fray. Ensign William Adama, barely in his 20’s and a recent Academy graduate, finds himself assigned to the newest battlestar in the Colonial fleet… the Galactica. The talented but hot-headed risk-taker soon finds himself leading a dangerous top secret mission that, if successful, will turn the tide of the decade long war in favor of the desperate fleet. “The ‘Galactica’ universe as re-imagined by Ron Moore and David Eick is rich with possibilities and backstory,” said SyFy’s Mark Stern. “We jumped at the chance to revisit the William Adama character and explore this exciting chapter in the BSG narrative which falls between the events of the original series and the prequel, ‘Caprica,’ currently airing on Syfy.” “While maintaining the themes of politics, social propaganda, and the timeless question: what does it mean to be human? – ‘Blood & Chrome’ will also return us to the authentic, relentless depiction of combat and the agony and ecstasy of human-Cylon war, which was the hallmark of ‘Battlestar Galactica’s’ early seasons,” said Eick. Michael Taylor wrote the teleplay from a story by Eick, Taylor and Bradley Thompson & David Weddle.

In the end, it all comes down to the writing … Battlestar was such a great show because the writing was so fantastic. I have been hearing great things about Caprica (particularly the fantastic writing) so I may have to give that show a second chance. I am really excited about Blood & Chrome tho … I’m in desperate need of a new sci-fi series to fall in love with. Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome sounds perfect. Any Battlestar fans out there … does this sound like a great idea for a new series to you?

Last week we got our first look at Brad Pitt and twin children Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline making their grand arrival in Hungary so that they could meet up with pseudo-wife and mommy Angelina Jolie, who is in Budapest directing her first film. Today we get to see a few photos of Brangelina reunited on the set of her film lookin’ as coupley as ever:

It’s unclear if Brad is in Hungary for the rest of Angelina‘s stay because he’s been filming a movie of his own here in SoCal in the past few weeks. If production has wrapped for him on Moneyball then he will likely stay with Ange and the kids in Budapest. But, it’s likely he will have to return to the US to get back to work at some point … meaning the lovebirds will have to be apart again. I have no idea how this supercouple manages to make their very bizzy lives work but it’s inspiring, I’ll give them that. It’s nice to see Brad being all supportive of his lady on the set of her directorial debut. He makes a great pseudo-hubby, don’tcha think?

The 'Mad Men' Finale, 'Jackass 3D' And 'Teen Wolf' In Today's Twitter-Wood

The end of "Mad Men" Season 4 threw a few viewers for a loop Sunday night. Damon Lindelof attempted to contribute to that confusion, which sounds like it was shared by Elizabeth Banks.
In theater reaction tweets from the weekend, Paris Hilton and Gillian Jacobs both showed some love to "Jackass 3D," even if their affection [...]

Mel GibsonUPDATE: It's true. Two unnamed sources close to "The Hangover 2" have confirmed to MTV News that Mel Gibson has joined the film's cast as a Bangkok tattoo artist. Now the question is: Who's getting the ink?

This weekend saw some "Hangover 2" casting news that will leave fans brimming with pre-Vegas-bachelor-party anticipation... and other news that will hit as hard as the next morning's hangover.

First the good news: Mel Gibson has reportedly joined the film for a cameo as a tattoo artist in Bangkok. Sounds like "The Hangover 2" has found its Mike Tyson (who still may or may not return).

A source told the New York Post's Page Six: "It's a done deal. Mel will make a cameo as a tattoo artist. Filming is taking place on the Warner Bros. lot, where a Bangkok set has been built, and Mel is expected to film his role in two weeks. Then the production moves to Thailand at the end of October."

This comes after last week's announcement by Sasha Barrese (who plays Bartha's wife in the film) that an "unbelievable" actor would have the "best cameo you've ever seen in your entire life" in "The Hangover 2." It's not especially unbelievable that Gibson is the man doing the cameo: Appearing in such an eagerly anticipated movie could give the PR-challenged actor's career the much needed reboot that his Jodie Foster flick "The Beaver" probably wouldn't be able to do.

It's still unclear whether Gibson will play a variation on his own personality like Tyson did or a purely fictional character. I'm hoping for the former suggestion, because nothing will be better received by audiences, in my opinion, than Gibson finally getting out there and making fun of himself.

Now that the good news is confirmed, here's the bad: E! got the scoop that Heather Graham will not be reprising her role as the Vegas stripper who stole Ed Helms' heart (and, less endearingly, left her baby in a hotel room with a tiger) in the original. A Warner Bros. rep told E!: "Unfortunately, Heather won't be in the sequel -- the way the story unfolds doesn't allow any room for her character to show up... I don't want to reveal too much of the film, but once you see it you’ll understand." Maybe it's because her honey Stu is supposed to have an awkward escapade with a Vietnamese transvestite? At least Helms, Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha and Ken Jeong are all back... and being joined by Gibson to boot.

Are you bummed Heather Graham won't be returning for the sequel? And is a Mel Gibson cameo just what the doctor ordered, both for his career and for audiences? Tell us in the comments!
