Typical Questions About Trademarks Answered
Battles are waged in the market and lawsuits are filed all within the title of trademarks. You have heard concerning the situation filed by Nike against counterfeiters, and you've read in the papers the temerity of other fly-by-night companies of copying the marks and names of effective companies. So what is with trademarks that stir up a storm of lawsuits and battles? Trademarks may be considered because the face of any business or organization online and within the market, and marks might make or break a company. And this will be the primary reason why everybody is hot on the heels of the very best and well-known trademarks in the marketplace. But what exactly are trademarks and why the noise? For the un-initiated, here are a few concerns about marks answered.Trademark fundamentalsWhen they say trademarks, then these are all about the word utilized, the names and also the symbols utilized that will be used to represent any good, and utilized to distinguish one good from the other. The very best trademark is one that is effortlessly remembered within the marketplace; something that consumers can remember even if they only noticed the logo or mark. These marks are frequently registered having a federal agency to be able to obtain trademark rights, and with these rights come the protection required by the company. When you have these rights, then you can prevent other entities from infringing in your marks and from offering items similar for your goods. These marks are registered using the USPTO.Ownership and control can be indefiniteOnce these marks are registered using the agency, these marks will stay within the ownership with the business for so long as the company workouts its correct more than it. Once more, this can stay indefinitely using the company if the company will continue to use that mark and can continue to monitor its usage. This is different from copyrights where the rights will elapse after a certain amount of time. To be able to rightfully keep the protection offered by regulatory agencies, it's recommended the company must file affidavits of the Continued Use or even the Excusable Non-Use. Plus the owner is also anticipated to file the Programs for your Renewal. These two major types are obtainable on-line and may be submitted the same way.The many notations connected with trademarksMarks will also are available in a number of notations. Two of those notations include 'TM' which stands for trademark and 'SM' which stands for services mark. These two notations can be used prior to the approval with the trademarks by the USPTO. But as soon as the marks have already been approved, you can now utilize the notation that says 'Registered'.Registering trademarks means a great deal because you can get the protection in opposition to misuse and infringement. So it is best that these marks ought to be monitored. And if the business isn't just domestic and also the business has other transactions in other nations, its best to file an 'international application' and this may be filed using the Global Bureau of World Property Intellectual Organization.

Not too long ago, all Darren Criss was known for was playing Harry Potter in the viral musical. Now, he's an overnight sensation and a Gleek for life!
Everybody loves him! (We adore him!)
Last night, the teenage dreamboat was invited to the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part One and he looked rather dashing, if we may be so bold.
Check out his little tie paying homage to the Gryffindor colors! Adorbs!

Watch: BeyoncĂ© Releases A Second Music Video Teaser For ‘Run The World (Girls)’
As I mentioned earlier, David and I were lucky enough to see an early screening of the year’s FIRST Summer blockbuster film Thor here in LA last night and I am happy to report that I really loved the film. Forget for a minute that Thor is a really exciting action movie, what I loved most about the film was the story and the direction. Yes, folks, this is a superhero film worth seeing for cinematic reasons rather than merely FX and explosions.
With Kenneth Branaugh in the director’s seat, you have to know that Thor is not going to be your run-of-the-mill superhero flick. Yes, Thor tells the tale of the God of Thunder depicted in the long-running Marvel comic book series … but it also tells the centuries old myths from Norse lore. Much of the scenery that is used for the worlds of Asgard and Jötunheim is all CGI … but it is among the most flawlessly beautiful CGI I’ve ever seen. We saw Thor in IMAX 3D and I couldn’t get over how amazingly beautiful the special effects looked. Branaugh really outdid himself with this film. His mastery of bringing Shakespeare‘s stories to the big screen is legendary … who knew he had it in him to have the same skill for big budget action films as well? As for the story, we learn the Thor “creation myth” (ie. how the superhero Thor came to be) but we also get a very loose retelling of the Norse myth as well. Not only is the story adventurous but it’s also very funny. The entire cast is just fantastic … Sir Anthony Hopkins as Odin is EVERYTHING. He plays the Allfather to a tee. Kat Dennings provides the PERFECT comedic relief … but lead actor Chris Hemsworth also provides a few LULz of his own. And people, let me tell you … Hemsworth makes a beautiful god. There’s a shirtless scene that literally made the audience gasp. I really loved every single second of this film. I was a bit worried how they were going to make the god Thor seem believable on Earth … but they managed to not only make him believable but kinda relatable as well. Do you remember how flawlessly executed the first Iron Man film was? Thor is just as good or BETTER than that. If you can, I recommend seeing the film in IMAX (IMAX 3D if you can) because the size and scope really makes a difference. Thor sets a high standard for the rest of the superhero and blockbuster films to come this year. It’s really fantastic.
MAKE SURE you stay in the theater until after the credits finish rolling … there is an extra scene at the very, very end that you cannot miss.
I cannot recommend Thor enough … it’s an excellent blockbuster film … I really think all y’all will truly enjoy it.

Victoria Beckham Brings Her Baby Bump To ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon’
While enjoying a stroll with their nanny this week, Levi Alves and Vida Alves — the young children of Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves — took a short break to play together … in the street. Now, I’m certain the nanny kept a close eye on the young’ns but don’t these little kids seem awfully young to be playing in the street at all?
I used to LOVE playing in the street in front of my house. My friends and I would play Kick the Can, Freeze Tag and Street Hockey … but we were much older. I mean, at 5 years old I was still too young to be allowed to cross the street on my own … and yet the McConaughey toddlers aren’t even 3 yet and they’re already playin’ in the streets. Ugh, celeb kids are so lucky to get to do whatever they want … aren’t they?

No really, doesn't he look a lot like his papa?!
Yesterday, John Travolta left his hotel in New York with his wife, Kelly Preston, and newborn son, Benjamin, and was bombarded by photogs hoping to get shots of the fam all together.
Mission accomplished.
Poor little guy! We're sure all that mayhem was overwhelming for him. Doesn't look like he cried, though! Tough kid!

You Can Do It! (Okay, Maybe Not)
The world's worst band is playing at a neighborhood fest/farmer's market one block from my apartment, but they're so loud that it sounds like they're playing right outside my window. I just ventured out so I could see what they look like and take a picture to show you, but as it turns out they're a group of down-on-their-luck teenagers playing plastic buckets and ginormous metal bazookas (which looks like trombones but aren't), so I felt bad and didn't do so.
But you know, this leads me to something. You want to encourage these kids and be like, "Keep playing your music! You can do it!" But at what point do you tell them they're awful? I mean, the neighborhood is suffering because of the noise. I have my TV turned up all the way to drown them out.
It reminds me of when I played the flute in the fourth grade school band. I thought we were amazing but then we had a concert. Afterward, when I asked my step-dad how we were, he laughed and said, "You sounded like the Charlie Brown school band." I was eight or nine years old at the time, but I was old enough to be told I sucked. I remember not caring. These kids are teenagers... I think it's time someone encouraged them to find another career path because this jam-band thing isn't working out.
(Btw, I couldn't find a clip of the Peanuts gang school band to show you, but you know what I'm talking about, right? They were horrible.)

Alanis Morissette Takes Son Ever Imre For A Walk
Last night, David and I decided to go to the movies and we chose the #1 movie in the country, The Roommate. Now, despite the questionable things we heard about the flick, I’ve been looking forward to this film ever since it went into production last year. Is The Roommate the best movie ever? No. But, it’s fun as Hell and deffo worth your time.
Chock full of cliches, you’d think that I would’ve hated this movie … but, to be honest, Leighton Meester‘s performance as a crazy stalker chick really makes this movie worth seeing. She is so over the top without actually being over the top annoying. I can’t even being to list the plot holes but, again, the movie really works because Meester is so much fun as the lead crazy chick. I couldn’t get over how similar Minka Kelly and Leighton Meester look in this film … they were perfectly cast. Pretty much everyone in the film comes from a CW TV show (Gossip Girl, 90210, The Vampire Diaries, Hellcats) so it kinda feels like a made for TV movie … but, I love me some cheesy popcorn movies and this is exactly that. We had fun, you may too.
No plans for tonight … just a quiet night in I think. Happy Hump Day :D
