We're happy to see that she's not letting the unfortunate news ruin her attitude - nor her St. Patrick's Day!
Rosie O'Donnell's talk show on Oprah's OWN network may have just been canceled, but she's keeping her head held high, and decided to let everyone know she's doing just fine via Twitter - by posting this [...]
Wow!
You cannot deny that he is committed to this cause!
Former Rage Against the Machine guitarist and Nightwachman Tom Morello was originally expected to perform at the Swan Dive in Austin for SXSW last night, but managed to turn his set into a full-blown Occupy gathering, which he organized in conjunction with Occupy Austin - and even after the police shut him down, he continued on!
Morello started his set for SXSW badge holders, but then informed them that a "people's stage" had been erected to broadcast the show on the street for the protestors and general public!
At last call, he then announced:
"I'm the pied piper of folk rock. I'm going to walk outside ... follow my guitar."
And then brought everyone outside and performed and impromtu set for the crowd that had already gathered! And when the police shut him down, he continued to teach the crowd the chorus to "World Wide Rebel Songs" so they could all sing together!
He explains:
"Frankly, I play a lot of shows like that, that are very unscripted. Whether it's with the Occupy movement or with different activist-oriented events. There's very little planning, there's often no PA, and the cops often pull the plug. It was a very inspiring night."
It certainly sounds like it was! That must have been so cool!
Keep standing together, guys!
